Instruction Philosophy: 6 Fundamentals of Golf
1) A sound grip to initiate the proper clubface position at impact.
2) Proper starting position sets the swing up for success.
3) The correct ball position effects trajectory and clubface position at impact.
4) Alignment allows a swing without adjustments.
5) A steady and proper head position.
6) The correct weight shift creates a consistent swinging motion.
Most errors in the golf swing are the result of incorrect pre-swing fundamentals. Jay and his staff address the key pre-swing fundamentals, which have a direct relationship with the swing. Having the proper grip, posture, ball position, alignment, commitment and trust are the elements that produce great golf swings. The grip controls the clubface and release, ball position controls path, posture controls the ability to pivot, alignment produces correct sequence and commitment and trust controls your ability to swing freely.
Jay and his staff do not teach any certain method. Each student is an individual and has different abilities to learn and progress. Getting to know and understand the student lets Jay assist in the proper learning of his/her golf swing. By having the correct fundamentals Jay and his staff can create and work on a swing shape that fits the student’s body type.

All golfers want more distance. Distance is achieved through club head speed and solid contact. Wrist cock, arm swing and body pivot are the power sources that interact with each other to produce maximum distance.
Jay and his staff will always teach and coach the student on what is the correct thing to do in the swing. Jay will first identify the problem to the student and explain and demonstrate the correct way to swing. Drills will be utilized to help the student learn and understand. Jay always wants the student to understand what he/she is to do to achieve their ideal golf swing.
